I like this video (above) because it was a flood that happened this year while I was going to the UWEC. It was a 100 year flood, which means that there is a 1% chance per year that it will occur. That is a low percentage and having it occur while I am up here is remarkable.
This video (above) was a rare earthquake that hit a very poor, vulnerable country, Haiti. This was broad casted across the world asking for help with money and aid. It shows the damage that an environmental hazard can do to a LDC. Today, a year later, Haiti it is still recovering and is still asking for help. It will probably take a few more years for Haiti to get back where it was before this earthquake.
This video (above) is about the 1964 tsunami that hit Crescent City, California, which I did my book review on.
This Video (above) is not in English, but if as you watch you can see the damage that was done on December 5, 2010 by heavy rains in Venezuela and Colombia.
